Midtown Planning Group Meetings Update

On behalf of Paul Farish - Senior Planner, Strategic Initiatives, City Planning, City of Toronto:

Thank you to those who attended last week's Midtown Planning Group meeting. We appreciate everyone staying for a long meeting covering a lot of detailed material. I hope you came away a bit more informed regarding the challenges and priorities vis-à-vis community infrastructure, transportation and water in Midtown. This conversation is not over – there were many thoughtful suggestions and questions to circle back on. We will do that as we meet over the next few months. Tomorrow night (Jan 23, 2018), we are adding the policy perspective (the proposed Secondary Plan) and parks perspective (the proposed Parks Plan). I hope many of you are able to join us then.

The meeting materials (four presentations and the Community Services maps / worksheets) are attached. Please provide your feedback on this material to Matthew Wheatley (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by January 30th. As was mentioned, there will be a public open house on Saturday, February 10th presenting the proposed plans to the general public. Any feedback you can provide this month will help our process as we move towards final plans in May.

All the best,
