Midtown in Focus Open House

Join us to participate in the City's Midtown in Focus planning initiative. Share your priorities for your community and shape its future!

What: Midtown in Focus Open House
When: Saturday, April 2
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Where: North Toronto Collegiate Institute, Cafeteria, 17 Broadway Avenue

Midtown is a vibrant community that has experienced significant growth in the last decade. To ensure that future growth contributes to the vitality and livability of the area, the City Planning Division is leading a Growth, Built Form, and Infrastructure Study in the area. The study focuses on the areas experiencing the most growth and addresses a number of topics that matter to people in Midtown such as shape and scale of new buildings, heritage resources, an expanded vision for parks and public spaces, community services and facilities (like schools and child care), transportation and municipal servicing.

City Planning is hosting an Open House about the Midtown in Focus study and wants you to join in the discussion. At the Open House, City staff will be sharing information about the community and work completed so far. Staff will also be asking for your feedback on draft built form principles and future character areas (which will help shape future growth in the area) and your priorities for community services and facilities.

Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Activities, information stations and staff will be available throughout the morning.

This Open House is one of several on-going community consultation activities City Planning is hosting to make sure its study considers and reflects the feedback of people who make Midtown the dynamic community that it is.
