As with our in-person classes, Music Together Online is designed to teach the way young children learn: through play! During each online music class, your teacher will lead music activities for your whole family to enjoy. Sing, Dance and Jam with us using everyday items like dish towels, pots, and stuffies as musical props. Each class has been designed as an active music-making experience for little ones and their grownups without it being necessary for the children to focus on the screen in order to enjoy the fun and benefits of the program. Classes are appropriate for children from birth to 8yrs, but the entire family is welcome (and encouraged!) to participate in the musical fun. Even Grandparents can Zoom in as no cost. Babies Intro Classes (0-7m), Mixed Age Family Classes (0-6yrs) or Rhythm Kids Classes (4-8yrs) - we’ve got the perfect class for your family!

Making Music Together presents the Internationally celebrated Music Together® program...Music & Movement for Young Children and the Adults Who Love Them! Music Together® is a research-based early childhood music program which recognizes that all children are musical. Children & caregivers share songs, chants, movement & lots of instrument play in a relaxed, fun environment! Classes are mixed-age for children birth-8yrs. 9 Different Song Collections, new beautifully illustrated songbook/CD/Digital music files each semester to keep the rest of the week filled with spontaneous music-making!

Wiggling, singing, and laughing with your child is so much fun—it’s easy to forget how much learning is taking place! Our research-based curriculum not only develops music skills, it nurtures creativity, self-expression, and confidence while also supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Because these benefits build over time, children enjoy the fullest growth in each of these areas when they participate as consistently as possible up through grade 2.

Young children learn through play and experimentation and by watching and listening to the grownups they love. Setting an example as an enthusiastic participator in music activities is the best thing any parent or caregiver can do to help set a child on the road to a lifelong love of music. Parents don't need to have music skills—they just need a desire to play and have fun with their children! Our teachers are specially trained to create a safe atmosphere so you can happily join in, experiment, or even get silly—and feel closer to your child while doing so.

Fully trained, registered Music Together teachers lead groups of six to twelve children and their parents or caregivers (nannies, babysitters, grandparents, or relatives) in 45 minutes of music and movement experiences during in-person studio classes. Online classes are 30 minutes on Zoom plus weekly Facebook Livestream jams and lullabies. Classes are recorded and available on demand to registered families (only the teacher is visible on the recordings).

Each weekly class offers a dozen songs and rhythmic rhymes, including fingerplays, small- and large-movement activities, and instrument play.

Children and their adults have opportunities to create and improvise—making up new words to songs, offering movement ideas, making silly sounds, and sharing musical ideas from the family's play at home.

The relaxed, playful, non-performance-oriented classroom setting respects and supports the unique learning styles, developmental levels, and temperaments of all participants, creating a strong sense of community.

In-person neighbourhood classes run (when safe to do so again) at 250 Davisville (at Mt Pleasant) and 527A Mt Pleasant (at Belsize) plus many other locations around the mid-town area.
