Wanda’s Creative Clay was working with Tom Arhontoudis, a professor from George Brown College and a group of his marketing students who came up with the idea to break a Guinness World Record and raise money for Sick Kids Hospital.

We formed a group called Eden’s Angels after a student of Wanda’s had passed away last May at the age of 12 from a rare form of cancer. Her name was Eden Worth. Rob Linley, Adriano Marques, Juan Jiang and a number of other students volunteered their time for over a year in order to plan this event.

Thank you to all who participated in Restaurantacular 2014. To the merchants and customers who braved the rain to share good food with good folks! It was a soggy, but delicious evening. For a thorough review of this year's event, check out this great article by Erika G. Simon.

Thanks for the Moxie Men for providing the smooth Dixieland Jazz sounds on the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church porch and Under the Stairs Jazz quartet for the entertainment at Mount Pleasant and Eglinton:

Congratulations to the Flaky Tart for winning the Post City Magazine taste test.

From the article:

"This pick seduced both chefs from the get-go. 'A nice dark purple berry always works wonders with pies,' notes van Gameren. 'The filling is the right balance of tart and sweet,' says Yolles, 'and the crust is flaky.' She also notes that visually its' the most appealing of the bunch. 'I would actually finish this,' says Yolles. 'It's an all around solid pie.' says van Gameren".
